I HEART you… Boopity Doo…..

Where have I been? The flu took a toll, parent teacher conferences and just life in general took over, but I am now getting back into the swing of things! I have been working on a few Valentine’s Day looks over the last few days!

And a special request…. How stinkin cute will this little guy be?

One last picture I have to add. This little guy was getting his 12 month pictures taken, and his momma chose to put him in Bits & C, how stinkin cute is he?

Vest and Bow…. Baby Swag :)

At the end of a long week of teaching and extra curricular’s, there is nothing more satisfying then finishing something that just makes you smile…..  here’s my something

Image

How can you not love this thing? I mean, everybody wants to see a baby in a bow tie, right? This was my newest creation of the week. One might say I am obsessed with baby formal attire, but I just can’t help it, it’s the sweetest thing ever!!!!

Yesterday Tulle…. Today Beads… tomorrow…. the world!

Hi Friends, the last few days have been SOOOOO BUSY! I am a tad upset at myself for not blogging yesterday, but the tutu took over and I was covered in tulle from head to toe until the weeee hours, but the birthday bonanza outfit is coming out pretty darn cute 🙂 Just a few finishing touches and it will be on it’s way to Mommys Craft Obsession to be reviewed and put up for a giveaway!

Here’s a sneak peek 🙂

On another Fantastic note Beth and I met and we have decided to merge and make Bits & C a priority as partners and move forward with equal shares in all areas! We are both very excited to see where this will take us and have hopes of making it our full time gig within the next few years! I know if anyone can do this and do it well, it’s us 🙂

Tonight, my husband had “Guys Night,” which he and his friends play their nerd games and podcast throughout (check them out at “Geek Dads! Podcast” if that’s your thing.) My sis took E for a bit which gave me sometime to make a few bauble rings for “Bauble by Bit” and I must say, I love them! I have made these in the past, but it’s been a while. I think they turned out pretty awesome 🙂

Tomorrow night I will be hopefully making a hairbow for my birthday outfit then working on some formal tees and onesies 🙂 stay posted!

Tutu Craziness

I finally completed the cupcake birthday onesie yesterday so today I began the tutu! This tutu is quite the mix of color; pink, green, yellow and purple! The perfect pop of color for a little girls first birthday! If you have made a tutu, you know you’re up to your ears in tulle :/ so after cutting four yards this is what I had to work with! Plus a patient husband in the background 🙂

Image

One can only spend so much time before going tutully crazy so I didn’t get finished. Here’s the start… this pic doesn’t look so great but, it’s definitely coming together!

Image

(Yes, that’s a pot… perfect holder for tutu in the making) 🙂

It will be finished within the next few days, so check back for the progress! When this is complete the matching hair bow will be next 🙂

I am off to bed, I have a full day of teaching tomorrow and obviously tutu making in the evening 🙂

Sewed a little BIT of this and a little BIT of that

After being out all day preparing for Birthday madness tomorrow (and maybe a few selfish stops at the fabric store) I came home to a pleasant surprise! Aunt Mel and “The Godfather” Andy stopped by to see E and to check out the “Bits & C” gear, lets just say they loved it all and walked away with a few goods 🙂

Image

(That’s Me, Bits and “The God Father”) 🙂

After that we put E down for the night and I hit my sewing corner. I finally finished my onesie that is being reviewed and set up for a giveaway on “Mommys Craft Obsession” and whipped up a pillow for my Aunt, for her birthday!

Image

I absolutely love this onesie! I have been trying to come up with cute birthday ideas for little girls and this is what appeared! 🙂 I think it is fab! I will be pairing it with a matching full tutu as well as a hair bow to complete the ensamble! I will be preparing the little boys ensamble this week. I am thinking along the lines of an awesome vest and tie onesie, gotta keep it swag!

The pillow is a gift, and of course my guilty pleasure of making something fun, that just makes me smile 🙂

Because I promised myself….

I am blogging as much as possible, because I promised myself I would give 100% in trying to make my hobby my eventual career… so here I am 🙂 Not too much to say or show tonight, but here’s the creation of the evening…. well, I guess I should call it the distractor of the evening. I am being reviewed on Mommys Craft Obsession on the 18th of February  so I am creating a few ensembles for this event, and they are not cooperating, so I tend to switch gears to something I can whip up and smile at! So, behold the “Formal Baseball Bib!”  Who’s ready for baseball season? This Girl!!!!Image

Red bead, Silver bead, Blue bead…. ohhhhh my :/

For tonight’s project I made a lanyard for a co-worker of mine. We have to wear our badge, classroom keys, etc., so having something fun to wear it on is a necessity! Insert me 🙂 I of course jump on the task of creating this for her! I have made bauble rings in the past, so a lanyard… ahhh no biggie…. ummmmm wrong! Anyone who has  worked with beads knows what I am talking about, so not an easy thing to work with.  Lets just say making symmetrical jewelry with a perfectionist personality is not the best mix! I think in the end, it turned out pretty darn fab, but I won’t be jumping on the bead lanyard market any time soon 🙂  Image

Who’s Behind Bits & C?

Bits & C is a labor of love from a family who has crafting running through their blood. Heading Bits & C, is Lisa and Beth, two women who work in the education field during the day and in our craft corners at night! We came together with a joint love of making items that others can enjoy.

Lisa focuses is on accessorizing everyone from the itty bittiest baby to the grown adult. She absolutely loves it all! Lisa started out making infinity scarves and hair bows, then came to realize there is so much more out there she could and should create. So, she pretty much trys to make anything that pops in her head, she sees, or someone asks for! She will try anything! After E goes down at 8, it’s me in my craft corner with the sewing machine and all the other fun items that come along with that territory.

Beth is what we call the home decor creator of awesomeness. She is big into burlap and chevron, and makes amazing items that accentuate your home! She also began doing this out of the curiosity of creating for her own family and within that venture she fell in love with the craft. She is amazing at making personalized items that you will not find anywhere else! If you can dream it, she can make it come true.

Mary and Cathy are the Momo and Grandma of the group. They are the true meaning of crafters (I will have to post a picture of their basements some time! LOL). Mary, creates anything from large wall vinyl’s to kids tee-shirts. She pretty much can cover all bases. Cathy is the crocheting genius and can create anything with a pattern 🙂

We can personalize each of your gifts to your specific needs, private message us to let us know what you want and we will make it happen!

Follow along as we get inspired, create, and hopefully inspire others to just give it a whirl!

Happy Crafting! 🙂

Lisa & Beth
